The Space
About the space
A place in Nishijin where the day ends sitting on the tatami.
The living room is laid with tatami. Under a plank ceiling and light filtered through shoji, you sit on cushions around a low table. The furniture is from MUJI.
Up the wooden stairs is the bedroom, a bright room with a large window and a pendant light. A kendama, a daruma otoshi and board games sit on the shelf, and a projector is there for films.
It stands on a lively corner, and the town can still be felt at night. Walk the streets by day, then come back and stretch out on the tatami. A place for taking in Nishijin's energy along with everything else.
Where you can go
The guest area is the second and third floors of a three-story house. Please refrain from entering the tenant space on the first floor, and from using the exterior staircase on the third floor.

- The house is on the edge of an entertainment district. The surroundings can be lively at night. If you are looking for a quiet setting, please book with this in mind.
- We do not offer additional cleaning or linen changes during your stay. Please use the washing machine in the home as needed.
- Luggage can be left with us from 12:00 on the day of check-in. After booking, please read the check-in guide and leave your bags together in one place, unopened.
- Seasonings such as oil, salt and pepper are not kept on site, with safety in mind. If you need them, please buy them at a nearby supermarket.
- We generally do not dispose of suitcases. If you would like us to, an additional fee of ￥5,500 applies (charged through Airbnb; we do not settle in cash).
