The Space
About the space
A black room in Daimyo, made dark on purpose.
Floor and ceiling both, a glossy black. The lights, kept low, reflect in the polished surfaces, and a line of light traces the concrete of the wall. A room that shows itself not through glare from the window but through the glint of reflection.
The window wall is one large custom shoji. Each square is papered in a different colour, and in the light it glows like stained glass. Slide the lower panel up and there is the bamboo and the Japanese umbrella — the trick of a yukimi shoji.
A black steel stair leads up to the loft. This room comes into its own after dark. Beside the shoji glowing with colour, the hours run slowly until late.

- We do not offer additional cleaning or linen changes during your stay. Please use the washing machine in the home as needed.
- Luggage can be left with us from 12:00 on the day of check-in. After booking, please read the check-in guide and leave your bags together in one place, unopened.
- Seasonings such as oil, salt and pepper are not provided, with safety in mind. If you need them, please buy them at a nearby supermarket.
- We generally do not dispose of suitcases. If you would like us to, an additional fee of ￥5,500 applies (charged through Airbnb; we do not settle in cash).
