The Space
About the space
A house in Dazaifu, its living room opening onto a lawn.
The main room is a living-dining-kitchen under a sloped ceiling. A navy sofa on a dark floor, pendant lights hung low over the table. Open the glass door and the lawn is right there.
The bedrooms upstairs are built differently from each other. One has olive walls and green bedding. The other divides the space around the beds with a wide-opening partition, with reading lights at the bedheads. In the hall, a round window in the brick-look wall.
Meals can be carried out to the garden. There is an outdoor table and chairs on the lawn, and above the fence the tiled roofs of the neighbourhood run on; sitting down, you see that you are inside the old streets of Dazaifu.

- The house is in a residential area where sound carries. Between 21:00 and 8:00 the next morning, please take care with conversation, music and footsteps indoors.
- Please do not go beyond the property or onto neighbouring land.
- We do not offer additional cleaning or linen changes during your stay. Please use the washing machine in the home as needed.
- Luggage can be left with us from 12:00 on the day of check-in. After booking, please read the check-in guide and leave your bags together in one place, unopened.
- Basic cooking utensils are provided. Ingredients such as oil, salt and pepper are not stocked, for reasons of hygiene.
- The free parking on the property is recommended for one standard car or two kei cars.
- We generally do not dispose of suitcases. If you would like us to, an additional fee of ￥5,500 applies (charged through Airbnb; we do not settle in cash).
