The Space

About the space

A house in Dazaifu, with a colour chosen for each room.

The living room is pulled together in light wood, with a red round stool and a grass-green rug adding colour. On the navy wall at the back, a display shelf and a white-tiled counter. A room with plenty of places to sit.

The three bedrooms on the second floor go by the colour of their bedding — the room hung with yellow cloth, the blue room. On the same floor is a kids' room with a tent. The tatami room on the first floor, zabuton cushions laid out under a lantern-shaped light, is a room for taking a breath.

On the balcony, a small table and chairs. While the children play, the adults can step out for some air. A house for family trips, where each generation can have a place of its own.
